Scalable Electrochemical Synthesis of Novel Biogenic Silver Nanoparticles and Its Application to High-Sensitive Detection of 4-Nitrophenol in Aqueous System

This study reports a scalable green electrochemical synthesis of novel biogenic silver nanoparticles colloid (biogenic AgNPs) in large scale up to 5 liters using the bulk bar and tea leaves (Camellia sinensis) extract (GTE) as reducing agent during process. Under direct-current voltage source, biomolecules GTE can release electrons promote process Ag+ Ag0. More interestingly, formation intermediate complex helps cap on nanoparticles, which leads stabilizing AgNPs. The as-synthesized AgNPs with size 34 nm exhibit outstanding properties due presence surface, facilitates effective attaching carbon surface screen-printed electrode (SPE) through strong C-O coordinate bonds between O atom oxygen functional groups C SPE. AgNPs-modified SPE are enhanced significantly comparison bare pure AgNPs-SPE. AgNPs-SPE is applied successfully detection 4-nitrophenol (4-NP). sensor reliably detect 4-NP linear range from 0.1 25 ?M sensitivity about 6.69 ?A ?M-1 cm-2. present work reveals, greener method ultra-large ability, high purity, excellent very promising for technological applications high-sensitive chemosensors, nanopharmaceuticals, other fields.
